The "New - Open Box" units when listed are brand new but are discounted because of the cosmetic condition of the outer packaging which has either been opened or is not in pristine condition. For example the boxed units might have rips or damage to the outer box. The blister packaged units may have cuts or cracks in the blister pak packaging.
The "New - OEM" units when listed are new but not in retail packaging (they come in a brown box). They are surplus warranty replacement units (what HP sends someone who exercises their warranty and needs a replacement). They include: new HP17BII, batteries, and manual when listed but not a case. These are new except for the retail packaging; they are not used or refurbished.
Refurbished inventory when listed are used units that are cleaned and tested by us and may be purchased with or without the manual. We do not have any cases left. They are all in perfect working condition.
Grade A units are in excellent condition and some are even in the original box/packaging.
Grade B units may have cosmetic blemishes (scratches/dents) and are not in the original box/packaging. Most blemishes are small and generally around the bezel. Here are 2 samples of the kind of condtion you might see in a Grade B calculator (this is a different model but condition is the same). (

Grade C units have more cosmetic issues than Grade B's like additional scratching or dents or a name etched on the back but still pass the self-test and are operationally sound.
We warranty all refurbished units for 90 days.
Manuals are also available for purchase separately if desired.
This model has been discontinued by HP. Quantities are limited to supply on hand.
