New version with the open/close parenthesis symbols on the [STO] [RCL] keys and the Undo on the [÷] key and Backspace on the [-] key. This is HP's upgrade from the 12C calculator and was released in June 2003.
The refurbished units come directly from HP manufacturing, and are individually hand repaired, cleaned and checked. Because of this they are usually considered better than new calculators. As said by HP distributing, "These are better than new because each has been fully and personally hand tested." All include a warranty to work like new. These are a great deal. Each comes with batteries just like the new units but not in the original packaging. Manuals and cases can be purchased separately.
The "blemished" units are the same as the the refurbished units, but will have a blemish, such as a scuff on the faceplate (never on the window), but that has no effect on the functionality of the calculator and is usually hardly noticeable.
For the price, these calculators, with the same functionality as the new units and the same accessories (battery, case, and manual if desired), are one of the best deals you'll find!
Each of these we personally open from their bubble packing as they came from the HP warehouse, and before shipping test and add a new battery if needed.
